This frame was my second option in this theme. I had a hard time deciding with one to post. Hope you like this one too.

This was an old pump that has been rotting behind our back yard in the bush, it was used about 30 years ago for a market garden that used to be here in Lajamanu.

Explored # 431 (12-04-10 )

Sunrise over a beach covered with snow. The snow fell in a hurry during the night while the earth was still warm. As the snow started melting it formed large fishers and cracks in the wet snow. These cracks in conjunction with the dramatic sunrise made for a really interesting moment. With all the contrast in this scene I knew it would make for a dramatic black and white image. Enjoy!

This image is blended from two focus stacked frames in Ps and then edited in Lr and SilverFxPro.

A black and white treatment of an earlier shot of the view south over Montrose Bay from the clifftops at St Cyrus.

The view south from the White Caterthun to the Sidlaw Hills

A fleeting visit to see my Mum and as it was a glorious spring day I took myself up to the White Caterthun, an Iron Age hillfort with commanding views across Strathmore and the Howe o' The Mearns. It was always a favourite haunt when I was a kid and on this afternoon I had the place to myself. I didn't see another soul.

Not sure about this one. Kept trying to make it bright and rosy pushing the color, but it pulled me back to the monochrome...

Tapatalk is a cool mobile app to access multiple subscribed forums and social platforms, but I use it in a wordplay: talking in a tapas bar :)

Tapas bars were always full and alive with talk (sometimes loud :), everyday people, and occasional oddball characters...

Now they are empty, most are closed, and life has gone hiding inside hoes, behind curtains and locked doors :( I do hope it won't be for long and the talk (as well as the tapas) will be back!

The usual comparison between colour and b&w is for the curious; this time I seem to have made up my mind and have no dilemmas: BW is my preference.

Proof you should be careful what you delete. Up until a week ago, I thought this image taken last year was nothing, partly because I had exposed it poorly. But with the passage of time, and a RAW file to work from, I think I got something worth sharing out of it. Hopefully, you agree!
