I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to view, fave or comment on my photo. It is very much appreciated
The silver Y is a medium-sized moth with a wingspan of 30 to 45 mm. The wings are intricately patterned with various shades of brown and grey providing excellent camouflage. In the centre of each forewing there is a silver-coloured mark shaped like a letter Y or a Greek letter Gamma. There are several different forms with varying colours depending on the climate in which the larvae grow. The head almost seems like a head of a monkey.

Early evening light from North Maui. Hard to believe we left there nearly one month ago.
Hope everyone is having/had a lovely day:-)
Thank you, as always for your friendship and wonderful support, dear friends and visitors:-)
“I don't want a rainbow... Rainbows have too many colors and none of them receive the appreciation they deserve... I'd prefer a fading red or a striking golden, a shimmery silver or a sober blue..."

A Montana Western Railway freight departs Silver Bow, Montana, powered by a great looking quartet of leased Rarus Railway EMD GP9s, still decorated in the same colors when delivered new to predecessor Butte, Anaconda & Pacific. It’s a cold August 26, 1993, and parts of Montana have gotten a little snow overnight!

Like a fine silver wire, the reflecting surface of the sea marks the horizon.

I couldn't resist another shot from our last Scotland trip, we were so lucky. I hope this weekends trip to the Lizard , cornwall will be as rewarding. Silver sings is by Caitlin Rose, and is perfect for one of the most sparkling walks.
I've been hoping to photograph Silver-studded Blue on heather for some time. This was taken at Prees Heath near Whitchurch, Shropshire, which I gather is the last reliable place for this species in the Midlands. There were good numbers of butterflies when I arrived yesterday evening but they were beginning to roost and didn't seem very inclined to settle on the flowering heather. Eventually I found this one perched on the end of a stem against a clean background.
no worries, I also have magics

We're heading north to Snowdonia today for few days on our whistle stop tour of Wales, so can't wait to see what opportunities arise. This was one from my favourite coast a few days ago, Silver Timothy is by Damien Jurado.
The image I was hoping for on my hide night. Playing around with the four flash settings to achieve the desired look I had in mind for this beautiful heron. Sometimes things do go to plan, more than often not :)
Ok it's not really silver, it's just the way the sunlight is angled that gives the effect of silver, but it looks good. :o)
Arjeplog, Lapland, Sweden
Large view is very nice
