“Every creature is better alive than dead, men and moose and pine trees, and he who understands it aright will rather preserve its life than destroy it.” Henry David Thoreau
I had the privilege of watching this bull moose swim across Oxbow Bend from one shore to the other. It was incredible.

THANKS!
I wanted to post just one more image take on the morning I waited for the sunrise on the beach in Mahabalipuram. After all on this road trip across Southern India, it was days before I saw the beaches on the other coast of Southern India.
I went out yesterday looking for a snowy hill to use as a backdrop for a photo of a mini Christmas tree and ornaments that I have. Those shots turned out ok......but the real bonus were these fabulous shadows and glorious clouds!
End of day at Cap Tourmente, I decide to finish at the Marais des Graves then at the Grande Ferme. In the short path that leads to the observation post, I see this motionless silhouette in the distance. I cannot believe my eyes, I managed to approach calmly about fifty feet from this individual which is not at all disturbed by my presence. I approached as much as I could and I'm happy to conclude that he left of his own will after about 15 minutes.

The iconic sculpture fountain of Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal a few years before the closure and dismissal of the whole facility - not very much known and not a touristic attraction, but one of the most intriguing architectural locations in Tokyo. -------------------------
Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal was first opened on May 23, 1991 as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Port of Tokyo. In the years that followed, a wide range of domestic and overseas cruise ships have arrived at Tokyo port's gateway, making it the stage for many opulent welcoming and farewell ceremonies. Unfortunately the number of cruise passengers worldwide has continued to grow, with the size of cruise ships increasing alongside, some of them exceeding the safe clearance height of Rainbow Bridge (approximately 52 meters). Therefore a new Tokyo International Cruise Terminal was built in Aomi in 2020 (at a cost of 39 billion yen - approx. 320 million euros), in front of Rainbow Bridge and on the opposite side of the chanel.
Closed during the whole fake-pandemic period (we dropped here last year by bicycle) and surrounded by true cathedrals in the desert now - dozens of new building completed or half-a-way done for Tokyo Olympic 2020, but sealed, fenced and never used - we came here not long ago, hoping to be able to enter and climb the unusual panoramic tower it has inside. But we found it definitely dismissed. It was closed as it was, on February 20, 2022, passing off the baton it carried for 31 years to new facility.
A true shock, because I liked it so much.: so Tokyo-like, while being totally different from what Tokyo usually offers. A retrò futurism. At its full-bloom it looked fantastic, surrounded as it was, by huge cruise ships, and even now - from the sea-side - its obelisk-like grid structure is impressive. The forms and its huge open spaces are unique for Tokyo standards. A huge waste, IMO, since it will most likely be demolished.

Back in 1998, the river had to crossed at this ford and all had to get wet...and nobody bothered at all.

Welcome to the room I hide in
I'd invite you to stay but I'm tryna
Get out of here
The windows see my pain they feel it
The curtains know my name they scream it
Get out of here
I don't know why I can never leave
When all that I'm left with are memories
I guess I want your ghost as my company
This house is full of the things we did
But you're still ringing in my empty head
I can't let go of the way we left
I can't let go of you
And now I'm hanging on by a thread
But you're still ringing in my empty head
I can't let go of the way we left
I can't let go of you
To the left and down the hallway
Pictures hang from crooked nails
Get out, get out
I can't get out of here
The doord keep falling off I feel them
The rooms have twisted thougts and I hear them
Get out of here
I don't know why I can never leave
When all that I'm left with are memories
I guess I want your ghost as my company
This house is full of the things we did
But you're still ringing in my empty head
I can't let go of the way we left
I can't let go of you
And now I'm hanging on by a thread
But you're still ringing in my empty head
I can't let go of the way we left
I can't let go of you
And this house is full
Of the things we did
And my bed has known
Every inch of your skin
Well I can't let go
Of the way that we left
Now my bath it floods
With your silouhette
This house is full of the things we did
But you're still ringing in my empty head
I can't let go of the way we left
I can't let go of you
And now I'm hanging on by a thread
But you're still ringing in my empty head
I can't let go of the way we left
I can't let go of you
