I was bored.
I really miss Photoshopping lately. But I've been so sick for over a week, and then I've been so busy with school and stuff that I have hardly even had time to get in my 365 shots. :( It's lame. Hopefully this next week or so I'll be able to do something pretty neat, maybe.

My future’s so bright I gotta wear shades.
(okay that was a little cliché) But I had an awesome day at work!
My boss offered me some additional part time work that I can do for the next who-knows-how-many years. It’s awesome because it’s something I can do on the side, from home, with good pay and benefits. Which means in a few years when we move (if we do, Lord willing) then I can move and take my job with me and work from home and do photography part time as well. SWEET!
I was in the studio yestday playing around so I had these glasses in my bag and thought why not !
Its actually inspired by the geek chic (pronouced sheek) idea of my contact elsiecake

Day 32: Self Portrait
So phonetography happens to be a new 'it' thing for photography. I'm not really into it since I'm still in love with my camera. Who knows, maybe when I'm bored, I'll try snapping some photos with my phone. Since Instagram is now on Android, I'm sure the phonetographer count will rise by 50%.
Yesterday's photo made it to Explore!

outside on the deck being silly, having homemade smoothies and wearing his pajama shirt backwards...what on earth could be better? HBW!

16 Random things about me
1) I swore I would not do this! As you can see, I don't take myself too seriously!
2) Here I sit, trying to find something interesting about myself! I find that awfully hard to do!
3) I'm a proud mother of 2 wonderful young adults! My 35 year old stepson, that I helped raise from the age of 7, and my 17 year old daughter. It took me 9 years to conceive. Lost a child after 7 years of trying, then boom, got pregnant!
4) I think I have a funny sense of humor...I laugh at myself a lot!
5) I'm a klutz! I can't begin to tell you how many times I've fallen down, especially at concerts! The last time was at a "Keb Mo" concert, and I fell head first down some really steep, carpeted balcony steps. After about the 10th step, an ambulance was called, and they took me out back to check me over! Very embarrassing to say the least! I had rug burns from my forehead to my knees! Bled a bit, and was very sore the next day!
6) Anyone that knows anything about me, knows I love my wine in the evenings! Pinot please!
7) I'm a cancer survivor. As of January 30th, I will be cancer free for four years!
8) I believe in the power of prayer!
9) I'm a loner! Love having the house to myself. I don't socialize very often, except with family. Not sure why, I just like it that way! I don't like unannounced company!
10) I have good luck with cars! I bought a 1995 Altima in 95, and after $6,000.00 in payments, someone screwed up at the finance company, and sent me a clear and free title! I still owed at least $10,000 on it! Go figure! I didn't call the finance company, would you have? When Kelli (daughter) turned 17, I gave it to her, and bought my Mom's PT Cruiser, 2002, 47,000 miles on it for $1000.00 dollars (she only wanted $600, but, I insisted on the extra $400)
11) I'm finding this harder and harder to list!!!!!!!
12) I'm a lover of nature, and animals of all kinds!
13) I've always wanted to work with down syndrom children, or primates, but have never checked in to it! On my "To do list" I would love to volunteer somewhere, but, I procrastinate too much!
14) Photography feels like my form of meditation to me! Very peaceful and calming, especially after a stressful day!
15) I worry about everything, and anything! If I don't have something to worry about, I worry!
16) I loath vacuuming! I'll do anything to get out of it! But, I loath a dirty floor as well........Wish I had a maid!

Merry Christmas everyone!
Sharing my grand girl doing "Fish Lips". I am sure everyone remembers being this silly. Anyway, she was all ready for her school's choir performance.

When my original 365 idea failed, what did we do? Jump in a colorful elevator and use an Ultra Wide-Angle. I follow the weirdest instructions sometimes. Katie jokingly told me to pretend every bone in my body was broken and make the most ridiculous face possible.
This is how it came out.

My coin purse (unlike, say, my umbrella) has been useful during my Iceland trip. If you break a 500 kronur bill (about 6.50 USD), you won't get anything back but change. At home, I save up all my change and turn it in for "real money" every few months, but here, I keep the change on hand to buy lunch and coffee/tea/soda.
I made this a few months ago... It's just five zippers sewn together. You can open any of them (or all of them), so it's a lot of fun to use. (People are always really impressed that I made it, so I'm almost embarrassed to admit that I got the idea from an all-zipper handbag I saw at an Indian store downtown.)
I haven't actually had problems with zippers accidently opening and change spilling everywhere, but I suppose it's only a matter of time.

FGR asked for our silly faces, so I had to pull out my yellow wig. I was too lazy to clone out the fly aways.
And before you ask, Brenda, the drapes do NOT match the carpet. :)
