Spiders always amaze me in just how much silk they can spin. Many areas of the wood are covered in silken shrouds that gleam in soft morning light. It is a bit concerning when you consider just how many there must be! Taken in Hillock Wood, Buckinghamshire.

My nephew offered this single silk rose to my mom on her birthday and I thought it was so beautiful and sweet I took a bunch of shots!!! To me it was an interesting study in macros and editing. Hopefully it will make a nice series... :))

This is one of the artificial flowers from the bouquet I put out on my Bistro table in the Fall.

Celebrating my first post-Covid opportunity for travel photography – a very interesting and enjoyable trip to Uzbekistan in May 2023. Traditional silk manufacture in Uzbekistan.

Teaching traditional silk weaving, Asolo, Veneto, Italy.

Photo of the day, caught in Wicklow pass, co Wicklow. It was really incredible to see the low clouds passing by the top of the hill in the distance, together with the creek.
