Looking close...on Friday! - Roses

I know, it's not the best composition - but that's the best shot i could get

The silk strands in this photo were spun by a 20 foot monster wave that crashed on the beach seconds before this shot was taken. The wave sent two girls, the only ones besides me on the beach, running in different directions to escape the wave to no avail. They got soaked and we all had a good laugh. Best of all, my camera stayed dry. :)

Another oldie, but a goodie that I never posted in color. This was from the time when every shot I did was over 100 seconds in exposure time. To be honest, I kinda want to go back to it since the combination of dark pnw mood and silky waterfalls is unparalleled.

Albizia julibrissin. The species is usually called "pink silk tree" or "mimosa" in the United States, which is misleading - the former name can refer to any species of Albizia which is most common in any one locale. The genus is named after the Italian nobleman Filippo degli Albizzi, who introduced it to Europe in the mid-18th century
