This detailed signpost in the Asian animal enclosure at the Melbourne Zoo signals the way to our next stop, the Orang-utan Sanctuary. We'll visit there tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting!

I have absolutely no idea why I took this

The signpost at the top of Cairn Hill on The Cheviot in Northumberland, NE England. It's a wet place and the walker is very grateful for the paved path.

The sun is dropping quickly on the upper reaches of the Eden Valley as 70806 leads 3J11, the North West RHTT passing Duncowfold on Wed 19th November 2025.

Weathered signpost near Melton.

We found this mossy signposts on a hill during our trip around cornwall. As I look at it now at the end of the year I get very philosophic spirit about it.

Says: Doppyo Peak in the West Hotakas, 2701meters above sea-level. Mt Hakusans, another active vol towering 2702meters, are located from here: in lower center farthest left, above clouds. From Nishiho Hut to here is only 30-60min trek away, depending on how fast/slow you walk. Yes, a tall rocky *wall* awaits on your last leg, but quite manageable if you are fit and healthy. Reward is big when you have views got unfolded below and above your eyes.

The Pedestal (1752) at the eastern end of West Wycombe is an odd signpost which does not name the three towns to which the roads lead (Oxford, Aylesbury and London?) and the Dashwood Mausoleum is seen in the distance.

The Chiltern Way was established by the Chiltern Society to mark the Millennium by providing walkers with a new way of exploring the diverse, beautiful countryside the Chilterns have to offer, It was originally launched in October 2000. In 2003 it was extended to include the Oxfordshire section of the Thames Valley in the south and the stunning downland of the Barton Hills and the Pegsdon Nature Reserve in the north.

Wegweiser

Greylag geese passing through here in the Four Lands. It can be seen in the sky and the wedge gagaga to hear this for me a natural spectacle at this time of year .

Hundreds of geese take a break on the lush , humid elbnahen meadows here in order to eat a grease reservoir for the onward flight .

Beaches and geese had separated from the group and felt apparently in the afternoon sun well and were by my presence a bit restless , but let me not out of his sight , even though I had enough distance . I just wanted to hold only the feathers on the branches in the image .

When viewing the photographs , I realized that the pen the direction of flight of the Grey Goose showed .

Now I know where the geese know which direction they need to fly .

A simple spring solves the mystery of flight .
