A traditional Sussex signpost in the centre of Ticehurst, East Sussex. Unlike neighbouring Kent, Sussex was in no hurry to dispose of its traditional wooden signposts and many survive such as this example.

Tucked away behind a large hedge at the junction of Kedleston Road & Allestree Lane, Derby is an old road sign. Only one arm now remains attached, pointing to Derby, the other one presumably indicated Kedleston or Quarndon. April 2016.

Took this during a recent visit to the coast, much to the bemusement of my wife. To my mind, the colours and angles made quite a strong composition. To my wife it was just a bin for depositing dog-shit! Cloned a few people off the beach to clean it up a little - there were no Pamela Andersons!

No I don't know what it's supposed to be either.

Signpost in the woods. I don't know how old this is, but it gives direction to the 'Rheumatism Clinis' (no longer in use) and the Kinema (still is use, opened August 1922 and also around during World War Two'.)

Locals have long maintained that Brent Council care little for this park. Sometimes that is obvious, othertimes the evidence is more subtle: for example, the signposts show the nearest way out of the park, rather than the facilities within (cafe, toilets, tennis courts, bowling green, pond).
