A sign post near the first of the peaks on Bennachie (pronounced Benna-Hee), Mither Tap points to its winter snow covered summit. Bennachie has 3 main small peaks; Mither Tap, Oxen Craig (the highest) and Little Oxen Craig. We'll be doing all 3 and this is the first.
Don't worry, these signs were made by humans. I suppose the aliens have not visited Düsseldorf yet:).
There are signs of spring along the famous Apache Trail. This is Canyon Lake in the early morning light. Always a wonder to find water in the Senoran Desert (even if it from a man-made dam).
As always, thanks so much for stopping by.

Although this was taken back in May, one of the first signs of spring is the return of the American Goldfinch.
Taken for Crazy Tuesday. Interesting story to these if you have time. Illegal gates put up by local wealthy gentleman, Council have advised him that as this is in fact a public right of way and despite the fact that he spent £1000's of £'s tarmacking and landscaping, he must remove the gates. So far he's ignored this order. Who will win? You'll have to wait the next episode.
Happy Crazy Tuesday.
binomial name: Shibateranthis pinnatifida Maxim.
The flower is about 2cm(4/5 in.) in diameter. The white part is a sepal and the yellow part (nectary) is a degenerated petal.
節分草
5枚の花弁のように見えるのはがく片で、実際の花弁は中心部の黄色い部分で退化して蜜腺となっています。その内側にある青紫色の部分はおしべです。

When I have errands to do on Saturdays, I often take a diversion / stroll through the city park (I have an annual ticket for the park) to wind down a bit. This time I was able to enjoy the first signs of spring and glorious sunshine. I stayed much longer than planned - watching the few adventurous bees buzzing about : ))
We have a photographic assignment for "signs" coming up and other than just posting an image of an actual sign, I took a more figurative approach for the "signs of change in seasons" - with a dusting of snow on the landscape. This scene is from November of 2021 in Central Ontario. The original color version appeared very flat because of the weather/light. Converting it to a slightly toned monochrome seemed to make it a bit more interesting to my eyes.
Blus Sky and Roses... Signs of Summer
SIGNS OF SUMMER is the topic for Wed June 15 2022, Group Our Daily Challenge
Here is a photo that I took, of a Coca-Cola sign, at a burger joint, on the north side of Houston Texas. Photo was taken back in May, 2022. Camera is a Canon 80D with a EF-S 18-135mm lens, with additional adjustments made in post-processing.
Spring in the garden is a mixture of delight and chore! Chore in that the feeds wake and spread like fury. Delight as creation wakes and all manner of bugs, birds and buds are to be seen and admired. I trimmed the climbing rose back over the weekend, it would be wrong not to take a photo ( or 20 right?!). Thanks for stopping
Manly Surf Beach, Sydney.
Photographed earlier this evening, Monday 3rd January, 2022.
My daughters and I arrived at Manly Beach in the mid afternoon. It was still over 30 degrees celsius. Miraculously I was able to find parking that was not half way to Denmark.
After fuelling them up with ridiculously overpriced 'Mango Smoothies', we then walked north along Manly Beach to eventually reach Queenscliff.
Along the way we encountered an array of stormwater pipes, adorned with signs that declared:
'No diving or swimming near pipes'
How bizarre!! As if you would!!
My Canon EOS 5D Mk IV with the Canon EF 24-105mm f /L lens.
Processed in Adobe Lightroom and PhotoPad Pro by NCH software.
Baby yellow tulip at Smith's Lyman Conservatory. Promises of a week of temperatures well above freezing = melting snow = signs of Spring. Have a great week, my friends!
Olancha, Ca.
I don't usually post a lot of multiples of the same subject, but I loved this sign so much I'm going to post the other side.
Thanks for all your faves and comments everyone!
I really appreciate them!
