Edinburgh has many well known and photographed locations and this is no exception.
"The Vennel" in the old town Grassmarket area provides a timeless view of the castle high above.
This is my first digital capture of this famous scene......better late than never, as they say.
Resting on shore after its long journey is this old log on the WA coast. Pastel blue sky and the smooth waves surround the old driftwood log.
This is a long exposure technique used to smooth out the water and create a mist like effect, very calming and tranquil.

A short traverse down some steep rocks and this beautiful view opens up to a world that time forgot. Lush ferns, heavy moss and old growth trees can be seen on this loop trail.
Soft morning light brings the foliage and stream to life.

A trip to the bridges rarely disappoints....although earlier in the day the rain washed out any decent chances.
A return at the days end saw almost no cloud at all....so I felt had to fill the sky with something !
It was hard to believe midsummer was almost here as the temperature dropped below 10-Deg in the cold wind once the sun had dropped.
As for the title....there should be a comma after "Cold blue" :-D
