Seamans Beach, Jervis Bay, a panorama stitched together from 12 shots taken with a wide angle lens.
Jervis Bay is renowned for its white sand beaches. Seamans Beach is probably the most famous. It is about 2 km long. At its northern end, is the village of Hyams Beach and at its southern end is HMAS Creswell, training college for the Royal Australian Navy.
On the day the photo was taken the water temperature (24-25 deg C) was warmer than the air temperature.
Taken with my new camera which I primarily got to take macros but the macro lens has not arrived.
Thank you everyone for your kind comments and faves.
Happy weekend!

Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis seen in Kopparnäs, Inkoo, Finland. This marks the start of aurora season for me!
The world's first 14mm 1.4 lens is finally here from Sigma. I had the chance to use this lens over the last few weeks and help provide sample images to Sigma before it was released this morning. This image shot at 1.4 shows the perfect quality of the stars in the corner even when shot wide open. A dream lens for both astro and landscape photographers. Una noche con mi amigo Mario Rubio por las cumbres de la Palma.
Una larga exposición del grantecan donde se puede intuir el movimiento de su gran cúpula.
After chasing a shot from this location for nearly 2 years, it finally lined up earlier this month. At the end of the night there was a slight glow in the water and I was blown away when I realized it was bioluminescence!
I returned last night to nail the composition and cross my fingers in hopes of capturing the bioluminescence again. Having the shot from within the cave line up and the water glow blue again was something I'll never forget.

Another image from Crater Lake and the infamous scraggy tree along the rim of the crater. We arrived at Crater Lake 24 hours before the smoke from nearby wildfires filled the crater and the view for days. Mars shines especially bright between the top of the tree.
