Pontevedra is one of the nicest towns I visited on the Camino. Replete with history, it has shady, charming town squares, lined with eateries, stately and ancient churches, and even a statue of a historical parrot!

Also these strange little creatures. I do not now what they are - but they are major sights, painted in various bright and lively patterns.

Kim and Laura are fascinated by the Atomium too.

Such amazing sights in this beautiful village

This was our first view of the Basilique du Sacre Coeur. I don't think Sarah knew what we were trekking up the hill and marching up all those steps for (we took the back way up), because she was stunned at the sight.
