Giraffe! I was so excited. The two things I really wanted to see Sunday morning were giraffe and lion. The lions evaded us completely, but we got some giraffe action thankfully. I liked them the best.
Most of my Cowboy Action Shooting is at under 10 yards so that is not a big deal usually but I am preparing to shoot CQB/Brutality East on Memorial Day and the Dead Eye category for that includes hitting targets out to 100 yards. According to my last outing, my Rossi 92 in 45LC hits about 7 inches to the left at 100 yards. And so, a sight adjustment is in order. I measure out about .03 inch, tape the scale next to the sight, and hit it with a brass punch and a hammer until it moves the set distance. Next is to go back out to the range to see how my adjustment did.

"My first sighting of a pelican at the new Adelaide Park Lands wetlands in Pakapakanthi [Victoria Park / Park 16]," writes Christopher Bollen (aka Dr Birdnerd).
"The wetlands will be a great spot for photography in the next few years when the reeds grow and attract more birdlife."
