Part of a STEAM-DRIVEN fairground ride, this is the engine that drives the Steam Yachts seen either side of it. They were BIG!! Really, I suppose they were just outsize swing boats, but when you're THAT big....you deserve a grander name. Whatever they're called, I think they're worth preserving, I only wish I could get to ride in them...just once.
The Erawan Museum in Samut Prakan, is famous for its giant three-headed elephant statue, which houses a collection of Thai art, antiques, and religious artifacts across three levels representing the underworld, earth, and heaven.
The thing we liked most was the impressive staircase - that was amazing.
We visited the Erawan and the Ancient City as part of a group tour, which included transportation and entrance fees - I think it was about $20 USD per person - not bad at all.
Christmas Eve and a few of us got together and went for a traditional Saudi meal at an old style restaurant.
The kids wanted to go blueberry picking so I could make them fresh blueberry pancakes in the morning.
