CSX 8902 whisks the usually reliable Q008 through the sweeping curve just east of Sidney, OH, leaving a plumb of fresh powder in its wake from a light dusting of snow the night prior.

This is sweet Sidney several years ago in the last bit of her long life. She was a golden honey color but as she aged she turned more white each year. She was the most gentle, caring dog I have ever lived with. When ET and Bears mom tragically died shortly after giving birth we had to hand feed them. Sidney fell in love with all six kittens and took over the mother roll. She carefully picked them up to move them by the skin on the back of their neck just like their mother would have. She watched over them and slept with them and seldom left their side. It's a wonderful memory of an incredible dog/cat.

What a large file this ended up becoming. The iMac was working overtime. I think this is 5 photos stitched together.
I was up early walking around with the camera. I wasn't in a very interesting spot when the sun came up but sunsets seem to be beautiful no matter where the location.
Watching the sunrise makes for a positive feeling. This is in front of my mothers house. Not a bad place to live.

Employees working for McCloud River Railroad in Northern California honored long-time superintendent Sidney E. Muma by naming SD38 No. 36 in his honor. The locomotive was stopped temporarily at Riverton, Utah on the D&RGW the afternoon of May 4, 1988.
