Located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street, Saint Thomas Church is a New York City landmark. These steps mark the point where you should turn to get to the Museum of Modern Art.

“COLOR LIFE!” the exhibition Umbrella Sky imagined and created by the artist Patricia Cunha is about 800 colorful umbrellas that are suspended in the air all along the historic passage between Rue Royal and rue Boissy-d'Anglas.

Gansevoort Street is where the West Village becomes the Meatpacking District. It is also the home of the Whitney Museum of American Art and where the High Line begins.

 

The gallery and community center at 5 Ninth Ave. is named "Fort Gansevoort" after the nearby site of former Hudson River fortification. But that building has another more recent significance, it was the home of Nelson Sullivan and the vine he planted stlii grows up the side of the building.

On the corner of rue Volney and rue Daunou, not so living proof that you can find just about anything in Paris.
