One day though it might as well be someday
You and I will rise up all the way
All because of what you are

I've found many of these pieces of art around Grand Rapids. I love finding these.
I think the correct type of art is called sewer grate art.

When I find loose book pages, I like to try to find out what book they came from. This is "A Kind of Magic, an Autobiography" by Edna Ferber (1963)
Hello, Flickr friends!
I have been AWOL for quite some time - mostly because of my laziness, but also because my husband and I have developed another hobby - horseback riding. Yes, I know I am old and shouldn't be doing it, but he wants company. I have never been a horseman, but am trying to learn, so that's where my time has been going.
Believe me, when you get away from PS and LR it is a mess to get back into it (another aging problem, I guess). I will try to catch back up with your latest images since I am now "socially isolated." That is the good thing about this horse hobby, though - my husband and I can still do that because we just have to get on and ride off from where we are. Country life is great!! Please stay safe and well.
At the 2016 "Art + Soul" in Oakland, people were really enjoying the "Glad Tidings Virtuous Praise Women's Chorus". Special guest: Chrystal Rucker rocked the house (and the sidewalk).
I'm not a religious person but I loved, loved loved the music, the energy, the joyfulness, the relaxed happy vibes.
Being there is an experience I'll never forget.
123 Pictures in 2023 #33 "Fallen leaves"
On my almost daily walk I ran across this pile of leaves the wind had pushed together covering the sidewalk. They are mostly "Live Oak", a species that drops leaves throughout the winter and Spring as new leaves are coming in (the tree is never actually bare). They are very common in landscapes around here.
