In 1974, an elite group of scientists leads the Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI), sending a transmission that outlines human DNA into the reaches of outer space. Years later, SETI gets an answer: an extraterrestrial DNA sequence and instructions for how to splice it with human DNA. The result is Sil, a female hybrid who looks like a normal human but is able to morph into her alien form - a biped creature with tentacles on her shoulders and back. Sil develops at an alarming rate, and her regenerative abilities, incredible strength and heightened intelligence are a threat to the SETI scientists. When Sil escapes the facility, a government team is assembled to track and destroy her before she can fulfill her desperate urge to mate with a human male.
The Species Maquette is cast in high-quality polystone, and features all the fearsome details that went into designing the full-sized creature in the film, from the mind of legendary creature designer H. R. Giger.

BACKSTORY: Rainbow Party #18: Red #2: Red Redux: Blood Red: The Blood Red Party: 26 people. Clio & Carolyn, AE & Meagan, Puppy, Akira, Sideshow Bob, Javier & Katherine G, Diane & Andrew, Emily, Erica, Liz, Carlos, Olivia, Jen Lee & Atool, Jayce & Max, Tyanna, Jill, Tom & Katie, Lex, Jax. Lots of socializing, and some cuddling. One 13-person L-C-R game (Sideshow Bob won). 3 couples slow-dancing to "Lady In Red" while wearing red was surreal as hell [C&C,Olivia&Max,Jen&Atool]. Max's blood bath -- being covered in blood -- was epic... But we really wish that people had figured out how to turn the hose on BEFORE covering him in blood.... Bringing him into our shower left red stains in our bathroom for a good 6 months. They seemed to have eventually faded. Meanwhile, people were still hanging out at 4:30AM. And here she is, my very beloved, 100% stunning first Sybarite doll with the DC mold :) She reigns at my home now. She is also modeling a recent Salon gown in these pictures which is called Samosa. I know I lucked out this doll year! ;)
