Vintage image of a fake nun panhandling and giving some side-eye at the 34th Street Station on the NY City Subway on the “F” Line. At the time this area was rife with panhandlers, grifters, Murphy men and other con artists. Nice vintage Coca-Cola advertising. Have a Coke and a Smile! It’s always a thrill when it’s from Vinnie DeVille!

Perhaps this is just before she gets her hair cut? I would guess that by the time 1920 rolls around and the short flapper styles are in vogue, this young lady's long locks are no more.

late edits, my apologies. Spent a day looking for interesting things at the acquarium. The overwhelming volume of E.E. tourists and their kids made it near unbearable.
