I'm not sure what kind of birds these juveniles are, seen at the Detroit Zoo last month, but the little one here seemed mighty feisty and was picking lots of fights.

I'm heading off with my camera gear to recharge and create some new images, so this image of two deer fawns(taken in Central Ontario) will be my last image for a while.
I look forward to reconnecting upon my return.

This is my personal favourite image from my 2019 trip to the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.
There was a large pride enjoying a morning meal. Among the pride, this older cub decided to show its love for its younger sibling-a truly magical moment!

Ruuxa (cheetah-male) and Raina (Rhodesian Ridgeback-female) are companions and bonded as-if siblings.
Ruuxa and Raina are part of the 33 year practice of ambassador cheetahs and companion dogs being raised together at the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park. In this relationship, the dog is dominant and serves to help the cheetah remain calm and socialized.

These are a female and a male arctic fox puppy. It is the female I have in focus. Her face is lighter than that of the male. They are just over 7 weeks old.
Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view, comment, and fave my photo.

I ran into these two baby hyenas early one morning with their mother. They were making the best of the remaining scraps available.

Almost ready to leave the den these two start venturing out on their own for short distances. Taken at as the sun was rising and hitting the background and not them yet.
Two young Great Egrets still in the nest at Resoft County Park, Alvin, Texas. Worth another visit. These will be on the wing soon.
Mossy (left) and Duke (right), two of our granddogs, wrestling over the same chew toy, just like children. At home in Winnipeg.
Black-shouldered Kite (Elanus axillaris) juvenile
These were very curious about me, the third chick was also given me the 'once over'. It was higher in the tree to the right and I just couldn't get a decent shot with all three in the frame.

Having a 'tender knee' has stopped my usual morning walks over the last few days. Any excuse to ravel through the archives.
They are two week old now, these cute shorties, but they didn’t see each other yet, because there eyes are just starting to open. Still its dragging them to the others ever again. When You are seperating them, they instantly start to search and call for their siblings. Only when they found one of the others and when they can feel them, they calm down. A view to kneel down.
