Isn´t it adorable, this little flower, very unusual. Growing wild in the forest, among long pinus trees and lingonberry.

Yesterday once a day with "Bad bad Panda" :(

I used a weak texture my own to this one.

Flamingos or flamingoes /fləˈmɪŋɡoʊz/ are a type of wading bird in the family Phoenicopteridae, the only bird family in the order Phoenicopteriformes. Four flamingo species are distributed throughout the Americas, including the Caribbean, and two species are native to Africa, Asia, and Europe.

The name "flamingo" comes from Portuguese or Spanish flamengo, "flame-colored", in turn coming from Provençal flamenc from flama "flame" and Germanic-like suffix -ing, with a possible influence of the Spanish ethnonym flamenco "Fleming" or "Flemish". The generic name Phoenicopterus (from Greek: φοινικόπτερος phoinikopteros), literally means "blood red-feathered" has a similar etymology to the common name ; other genera include Phoeniconaias, which means "crimson/red water nymph (or naiad)", and Phoenicoparrus, which means "crimson/red bird (though, an unknown bird of omen)".

Spain March 2022

Would you mind if I have some nectar right now?

i did many african trips but just one time i saw the cape fox ( vulpes chama ) .it is the only south african real fox as bat eared fox belong to another animal genus.cape fox is mainly nocturnal and shy so isnt easy to get photos of them.i'm arrived just in time, the fox is entering in to the den.

unfortunatly it's easier to see them dead on the road than alive in to the wild.

the big ears show clearly how they found their little prey.those foxes are quite small ,usually 3/4kgs .the main enemies are nocturnal predators like leopards, caracal and the giant eagle owl.

For you my friends with love from the bottom of my heart.

Be happy keep smiling :))**

You'll need sharp eyes to catch sight of an American Bittern. This streaky, brown, and buff heron can materialize among the reeds, and disappear as quickly, especially when striking a concealment pose with neck stretched and bill pointed skyward. We spotted this one moving from one side of the reeds to the other. Usually, they can be heard but rarely seen, so we were thrilled to see this one emerge from the brush.

Baby hides behind mom who steps up to protect her family if need be. I only shoot with my camera and on silent at that so no need for her to worry. These two were exploring my backyard.

Camera shy little Gray Squirrel in the backyard.

The Green heron is a small solitary heron that lives along shaded riverbanks or quiet streams in areas of dense vegetation. It is often somewhat secretive but is sometimes to be seen crying "kyow" while flying up a creek. When in the open, it will often flick its short tail nervously, while raising and lowering its crest. The "green" of its back is an iridescence, and often appears as a dull blue or just dark.

Although they are quite common, Green herons are shy and so are not often observed. Their active period is during the day and they nest within their feeding areas. To catch fish they either stand in the water or perch low above the water, watching for prey, or they track it down. Occasionally they will swim after prey. They will retract their neck, holding their bill downwards aiming at a fish, take a few cautious steps and stab their prey with their bill. They feed either alone or as a pair. When threatened, alarmed or aggressive, Green herons raise their crest, hold their neck still and flutter their tail. They are territorial and do not tolerate intrusions. They attack intruders on sight, flying towards them, making a loud and guttural repetitive "annnck-annnnck". This call is also repeated as an alarm.

The Green heron uses tools, being one of the few bird species to do so. It drops objects such as bread crusts, twigs, insects, earthworms, and feathers on the water’s surface to attract small fish.

I found this one along Peavine Road in Osceola County, Florida.

Hello Everyone!

I was walking within the forested section of a park and unexpectedly, I spotted a doe and fawn. The doe took off, but the youngster decided to stay for a moment to size me up. I love unexpected encounters like this!

Thanks a million for stopping by and for leaving a comment. I do love hearing from you! Have a terrific day!
