Needed to take a break from mosaic work, so I played with some shrink film, and made these mask pens.
Just using colored pencils, beads and shrink film.Then added pin backs to wear them.
Now I don't know what I'm going to do with them. lol
The two Great Horned Owlets (Bubo virginianus) are so big they are overflowing the nest, and will be branching out any day now. It is quite a surprise to see one of the babies stretches his wings out now… the wings are already huge! This nest is at least 50 feet up, and 200 feet away from the trail, so these photos are rather heavily cropped to get this close-up, even at 600mm. Pardon the grainy noise, it is dusk :-)

FUTAB and shrink-wrapped for the rest of the evening. I typically watch about an hour of television a day, but the Saturday night schedule is packed with shows that, if I don't out and out like, I often end up watching. So here I am, stuck, from 10:00 pm to 3:00 am. I tried four different times to turn off the basketball game and go to bed, but didn't get off my sofa until it ended at 3:00.
