I was surprised by all of the demo work done on the Globe building when I drove by the other night. I thought more restoration of the building for the DNR purposes was going to be done. I guessed wrong.
My second attempt to get a pattern with a shrinking grid. I wanted it to shrink even more, but on one line there are 4 layers, so I couldn't go on.

because of commercial exploation and diverting rivers the dead sea shrinks with 1 meter a year. tourist at the isreali spa (on palestinan territory) now have to take a mini train to get to the sea shore...

Looking north onto Lake Gordon. The lack of rain is noticeable here with the water level exposing some of the originally flooded woodland. Vegetation already appears to be colonising the exposed shoreline.

exactly 50 years after I last photographed it (old B& W photo to follow), its base is considerably further up the mountain side: Glacier du Forclaz, Valais, Switzerland ( near Mt Blanc on the Swiss/French border in the Alps).
I rarely eat candy, but with a bout of low blood sugar, I opened a Tootsie Pop I had picked up somewhere on the road.
Imagine my horror as I saw how much the venerable Pop has shrunk! It is at least half the size I remember it as a kid. I bet it takes a lot fewer licks to get to the center of this shrunken pop.
Tweaked the design and used glitter and a new glossier varnish this time around. Like these much better!
