Okay now that pretty much all the background is gone we can select the subject and move her. There are a lot of ways to do this but i like making it easy on myself so i use the rectangle marquee tool, basically a box selector. Once the subject is selected, you can either use the tool bar to cut or you can hit ctrl+x for cut or if you are paranoid ctrl+c for copy which is fine because if you eff up you can come back to it.

Now click on the picture of the setting(seen here in the upper right corner) and hit ctrl+v for paste or select that option from the edit menu in the tool bar.

A fun shot taken using my cat for a 'film' photo comp.

Ahhh, the joys of Shrink Plastic:) I made these dove badges. I see quite a few people with swallow tattoos on their chests or hoodies with them on and I really like the placement of them.

However, I am not quite sure of the meaning behind the swallows. I think it relates back to the Navy. Lots of tattoos and alternative images such as swallows in this placement seem to refer to violence (army, navy, guns, daggers etc) so i wanted to turn that on its head and to doves instead.

Doves represent peace and the colour of white makes me think of innocence and purity too. I get asked sometimes why i have doves and its a great opportunity to talk about peace and actively searching for it (hence the green leaf in their mouths that link to the biblical story of Noah's Ark).

Everything i make whether as public art (cross stitch graffiti, mini banners, hidden letters etc) or to wear (belts, badges, keyrings etc) I want it to make people think and ask questions so we can have interesting discussions about social justice and peace.

So if you see me with my doves on - now held by Gaffer tape on the back:( - I hope you say hello and have a chat with me about how we can aim for peace in the world :) x

Then I noticed that window reflected in another...

- www.kevin-palmer.com - As this storm started shrinking I got this unique view of the entire updraft from a couple miles away.

I was doing a photo today, and I was using all my Bratz Shoes. That's when I noticed how small the bratz feet have gotten. So I compared my first bratz doll (2002 FUnk N' Glow Meygan) Shoe to my newest Doll ( 2011 Bratz Rock Jade). I even tried the old shoes on the newer body, and they looked so wierd. But isnt it the big feet that help Bratz get to where they are? I mean, when I compared them, the older shoe looked like a frickin gaint next to the new ones.

Day 45 (v 4.0) - no radiation was used in the making of this photo, just a viewfinder!

This was a huge mound of dirt when it arrived last fall. Three tarps barely covered it. Now, one is more than enough. I've been whittling it down a little at a time and can see the end is near!

One of my favorite childhood toys. You would pull a string and her eyelids would flutter, and she'd say things like "I'm afraid of noisy boys", or "I've got butterflies in my tummy (giggle)".

I kept mine for years, but then she got damaged in an outdoor shed at my parents's house. I grabbed this pic off ebay. These now go for $200-$300. Amazing how people try to grab their youth again.
