Canadian Rockies, British Columbia

An amazing experience to hike in the backcountry of the Canadian Rockies- rocks, snow, lakes, flowers and trail less hikes to endless vistas. I’ve been to the Canadian Rockies several times and it’s always awe inspiring … there was a lot of smoke from wildfires, sadly, but it gave a mystical quality to the mountains

Hello FlickrVerse! Hope all is well.

Cannot resist sharing another shot from my iPhone (I haven't had time to process any of my dSLR photos from the trip) ... This is a reflection of the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies - Mt. Robson (the peak furthest back touching the clouds) along Kinney Lake in Mt. Robson Provincial Park

A location close to home, but amazing light in the afternoon

It’s been a flurry of travels and fleeting impressions … hope all is well in the FlickrVerse

Happy New Year folks! Feliz año nuevo, as they would say in Argentina. Here’s wishing for a bright and beautiful 2018, more hopeful than the last year, and for adventures near and far. Lucky to have seen some incredible natural vistas on our planet, hoping they don’t disappear for future generations. … This is a view of the Fitz Roy range, playing hide and seek with the clouds as we returned from our hike. Cerro Fitz Roy was soon swallowed by the clouds, only to reappear next morning …

Thanks for all your visits and comments. Hopefully I will have more time for Flickr in the new year.

We drove through some uber fast and expensive autobahn in Italy that had speed limits but no one seems to follow them. Our rental feather light Lancia feels like it’s ready to fly off the road when driving above speed limit. In the smaller towns, there are some ridiculously hard to drive single lane roads that honestly had to be made for one way by mistake and ended up being used for 2 way travel instead.. There are tiny pullouts here and there and whoever that’s closer to the pullout will either drive into it or reverse into it. Italians drive in reverse gear as fast as they drive forward lol pretty cool. Along the weaving and meandering roads, we lost count of the number of lone churches we saw but this one, San Giovanni church, is definitely my favorite!

Scouting for fall colors with Lance and Annette

(Art by Barbara Kruger)

Thick fog in Hillsboro this morning made me drive by this spot that I found earlier.. Trying to get this street without cars probably won't be possible but I will keep trying. Just a concept shot and some ps/bs lol. Oh wel on a side note, fall is really here!

Endlessly fascinated with the textured sands. This is an iPhone capture from the same day as my last post.
