… Norman Shaw designed this building in the last quarter of the XIXth Century and lived there the rest of his life. He’s buried in St John-at-Hampstead a stone throw away. 6 Ellerdale Road is now a convent.
ENG: The castle gate in Lübeck, built in late Gothic style in 1444, is the northern gate of the former four city gates of the Lübeck city fortifications and, along with the Holsten Gate, the only one that is still preserved today. It takes its name from the old Lübeck castle, situated high above the Trave River, which was converted into the Burgkloster in 1227. The passage was widened in 1850 and most recently in 1928, as well as expanded to four instead of three culverts.

Inclement weather in my neighborhood. Clouds in the sky make good subjects that offer ever changing photo-ops. The hurricane season is represented by a swirl and not as destructive as real weather. Shot with iPhone X Max and processed using the Photoshop Fix and Express apps.
Chicago. I was glad to find a puddle in Chicago, from the rain and snowmelt, exactly at the same spot as 3 years ago! But some other puddles had disappeared since the streets / sidewalks have been repaired :)

The airlines are starting to fly again! A picture of the contrails juxtaposed to the waning moon in a heavily cropped zoom taken with the iPhone X Max. I took the photo standing on my back porch and did some further work using the Distressed FX app and sharpened with the Photoshop Express app.
This is the Poulnabrone Dolmen (Portal Tomb) located in County Clare, Republic of Ireland in the Burren Region. This Megalith is a classic example of Portal tomb with a large capstone supported by large vertical stones. As stated in a previous post, they mark burial places in a very distinctive way. They were created between 3000 BC and 2000 BC and are generally held to be tombs, though they may also have ritual significance. There are hundreds of these tombs scattered throughout Ireland, in various states of repair. ##poulnabronedolmen
