Leineschloss Hannover
"Construction of the original Leine Palace began in 1637. From 1714, King George I had its interior reconstructed, with magnificent decorations. After a fire, the north-west wing had to be rebuilt. Further constructional changes were made by Georg Laves between 1815 and 1835. Among other details, he added the classicistic portico, resembling the example at Carlton House palace in London. Today, the Leineschloss houses the Landtag – the state parliament of Lower Saxony."

These highly maneuverable raptors make frequent hard turns while scanning for prey. This is a relatively easy adjustment, but you can see how the right wing and tail are tilted together to catch the wind and push it to the left.
Short Eared Owls are often found in groups. Some took off the moment they noticed me but this one kept a watchful eye.

This open-country hunter is one of the world's most widely distributed owls, and among the most frequently seen in daylight. Don't look too eagerly for the ear tufts, which are so short they're often invisible. More conspicuous features are its black-rimmed yellow eyes staring out from a pale facial disk. These birds course silently over grasslands on broad, rounded wings, especially at dawn and dusk. They use acute hearing to hunt small mammals and birds.
