Another from a recent shoot with model Gabriella Knight in a field of barley in the Cotswolds. If you're wondering why you can't see Gabriella in this shot it's because she was having a five minute break in her car to warm up....... As warm as this field looks, there was a strong wind blowing for most of the evening.

Working and shooting with models is fun, entertaining, brain practicing, exciting etc..the list may go on..but there is always a drawback that nobody mentions about. Which is the psychological side. I will try to be as honest as I can about it.. There is always a ''bitter, sour'' taste left when the session is over. A shooting lasts around 5 hours in average, including the pre-shoting talk, breaks, conversation, the shoot sessions and the farewell part. The shooting itself is great, checking all the photos is great and exciting too- are they good? are they OK? are they as I wanted them to be? Which one should I choose? How should I edit them or maybe keep them as they are? What story does the serie or a single image have? These are the post-session stage. And then comes the posting of the images--flickr, instagram, 500px, whereever..Few days last like that..

Then comes the psychological part, that slowly starts to emerge, after re-watching the images..That is the point where I realize that, the images had already become memories of a nice shoot, with a nice person, with a good time has already belonged to ''past''. They were evidences of a memory- a part of my life that once was lived and can not be hold or catched again..

Each time when I look at images of past shooting session, they remind me how important it is to ''live and catch the moment''. You can re-buy materials but not moments.
