A grainy, old school sidewalk view towards a traditional shoe storefront in the pedestrian zone of Passau.

I do have greatest respect for the lady with the walking aid. She was slow, but she did her thing.

Slow and steady wins the race!

I somehow liked the old school facade with its monumental lettering, so I edited it accordingly with some good old film look and grain. I hope you like it, too!

Interesting fact on Mulberry St in Little Italy.

Mulberry Bend, formed by Mulberry Street on the east and Orange Street on the west, was historically part of the core of the infamous Five Points;the southwest corner of Mulberry Bend formed part of the Five Points intersection for which the neighborhood was named. Aside from Mulberry, the other four streets forming Five Points were Anthony Street (now Worth Street),Cross Street (now Mosco Street),Orange Street (Baxter Street),and Little Water Street (which no longer exists)-Wikipedia

Enna Jetticks was a brand name for a certain shoe. This building, built in the 1880s by William Whitman, is located on Eagle Street in North Adams, Massachusetts.

Red’s Shoe Barn opened at this location in 1958 in a converted blacksmith’s shop, buying shoes direct from the many local factories. (All of the Dover shoe factories were shuttered by the 1980s.) In 1970 Red's business had flourished sufficiently to justify demolishing the original structure and building a larger store with better parking to better serve his customers.

This is shoe heaven! - Asha at the shoe shop and can't decide... ;-)

This is my idea for a new tag game.

Rules: It's all about your dolls' shoes - there are no limits to your ideas and fantasies...

I'm curious to see your pics and hope a lot of you will play. I've tagged as many as I could but please consider yourself tagged if you see this and enjoy! ^^

I made a mistake when manually setting the lens information. EXIF is 135m, but it's actually NIKKOR 28m 1:2.8.

Good to see they are still in business.

Designer shoes on Rue St.Paul in Old Montreal. My wife went into the store and bought a pair for herself before Christmas. While she was in the pool at our hotel,I went back to store and bought her a second pair that she liked as a Christmas gift.

On Boxing Day(Dec.26th),I went with her again and she bought a 3rd pair she really liked.

After we got home from our trip from Montreal, she ordered 2 more pairs on-line! She loves Fluevog shoes! She gave a whole bag full of her old shoes to a thrift store after that.

...this is near the entrance in front of the crosswalk to the Bay department store across Rideau Street. It's pretty much what you see immediately after entering.

Schroeder is fifteen miles from Goliad on FM 622 in northeastern Goliad County. German immigrants began settling the area in the 1840s. Since supplies were available in nearby towns, the first store wasn't built until 1887. This establishment - which became a combination shoe store, grocery and saloon by 1892 - still supplied groceries, gasoline and hardware to the community in 1986. Not sure exactly when it closed. Info from the Texas State Historical Association. Schroeder,Texas. 7.5.2017.

Taken on one of those rare occasions where I was at Bayshore Shopping Centre and there was still daylight outside.

Blue suede shoes

I was walking through Amsterdam and a small shoestore had all the cute colourfull boots standing outside.

The store has been closed for several years now,but the sign keeps hanging' around! Texarkana,Arkansas. 7.3.2016.

This sign hangs over the former location of Solomon's Juvenile Shoe Store aka Red Goose Shoe Store at 306 Houston St. in Ft. Worth. It is now The Red Goose Saloon which was established in 1998. My guess is that the shoe store was established perhaps in the 1930s or earlier.

The Red Goose Shoe Company of St. Louis,Missouri, began selling shoes to pioneer families headed west in 1869. The company's original name was Gieske-D'Oench-Hayes,after the founders. The name was changed in the early 1900s.Gieske is German slang for "goose." The red color came later when during the St. Louis World's Fair in 1904,some stock boys painted the goose on the cartons red. The head of the company liked the idea, and so Red Goose Shoes was trademarked in 1906.

I found the above info on the internet. Ft. Worth,Texas. 6.22.2016.

A nighttime shot of a Baťa store, illuminated by the iconic red neon sign. The warm glow contrasts with the cool ambient lighting, creating a cozy yet modern urban atmosphere. The storefront showcases stylish footwear and accessories, with eye-catching advertisements in the window. The cobblestone street in the foreground adds a timeless European charm to the scene.

EDIT: I did some more research and found out this place closed in 1992.

I took over 150 pictures in Cumberland today, so I figure it'll take me a while to upload them all.

It looked like everyone was on phone :)
