Very tired, but if he's not asleep he's someplace nearby.

Which means, not barking.

Winter an der Jubach Talsperre

The hour is getting so very late Cinders……So why aren't you asleep like your sister Dixie…..Yes …Yes …..I do realise that you love your mother so very much……But your Mum has been so very busy today in looking after you ……And believe it or not…. Mothers also have to rest sometimes……So come on and say your little prayer…..and then let’s get you to sleep shall we…..What that you say Cinders….…Will I take a last photo of the day…… So that you can show our reader on how Halo has taught you to give a wave with your front paw whilst saying your goodnights to all…...Ummmmmm…….Well Cinders…..I must say that would make a very cute photo if you could pull it off……But really….. I would highly surprised………That one as young as you, could make that happen…..Even thought that you had a little help from Halo earlier…..But come on….. Let’s give it a shot shall we…..And we will see how it goes…...Right…..On the count of three….OMG…..

My guitar playing has long been put away……And with that… the CraZy Gang mood has picked up no end……I expect I should feel an affront to that……But to be honest I feel great as we watch the day’s end with the setting sun lighting up the Shelties in a red glow tint …….I note with some satisfaction that the barbecue is getting up a head of steam ready for the 1st steaks to start cooking……But that is not my department……As I am the world worse cook…..(No kidding)…..So we leave that to Di, I think…..Leaving me to concentrate on a cool beer or two……As for the Shelties ……By the looks of them….I think that Di has just top loaded up the barbecue!!!!!.......Now all we need is for you to come and join us, what say you Halo….

Such a nice Saturday morning for walking the dog on frozen lake

Well...... like a lot of others.....We have been watching the remarkable and exciting Super Bowl game......With half of the CraZy Gang supporting the New England Patriots and the other half supporting Philadelphia Eagles playing at the US Bank Stadium Minneapolis......I leave you to guess who was supporting who, by the looks on their faces......But one thing for sure.....They all enjoyed the game and the half time entertainment with Justin Timberlake performing making it no wonder that they surrounded by Spring time thoughts

Rocky the sheltie from my pet open day

Sitting in my office trying to balance my books.....And only half listening to Halo request to borrow my sports car that I had spent all morning cleaning & polishing.....And now stood taking pride and joy gleaming on our drive way......Well you know how it is......It seemed the easy option just to say yes at the time......After all...... I thought as i throw the car key to him.....What possibly harm could a young Sheltie with his friends do to my bright shining sports car.....And let’s face it.... I have far more important things on my mind as I went back to the dismal financial figures that the accountancy books were saying, and wondering how to make the figures add up.....Well as you can see......The rest is history as my sports car was introduced to life on the beach.....With wheelies the norm.....and a rev counter that was having to deal with life in the red danger zone....And don’t mention the paint work.....That now looked like the car belonged to constructer builder worker.......But whatever......Life is not so bad......As Halo wanting to show his gratitude to me......Now has my books all balanced and looking all prim & proper...... And the only looser as far as I can see is Tax man, as he is not going to get as much as he thought.....Well done Halo...

Well today.....We have a complete change of direction...With Halo Jazz Middy and Di up at the crack of dawn awaiting a special delivery whilst getting banners up and rearranging our living room to today’s events......I am still in bed with Misty laid nearby......Both of us trying to sleep on with all the noise going on downstairs.....But like it not.....Molly has instructed to get me up asp to help out.....And when Molly gets a idea in her head.....She is hard to ignore....Especially when Maysie May comes to lend a helping paw ....I am told that the special delivery is here at last.....And that all is ready downstairs.... At this point I have to admit that I am in the loop....And know exactly what’s going on.....But Misty ....She completely in the dark.....So as she and I enter the living room .....All the banners only have one thing to say along with a chorus from the rest of us.....Happy...Happy....Happy fourteen birthday Misty.....Gifts then exchange paws....With the special delivery turning into the new Mission Impossible film...... Fallout.....It was something that Misty had very high up on her wish list...... (She a very big Tom Cruise fan) ...This will be watched after one of Misty favourites walks........ Along the Great Western Canal to the waterside pub ....The Navigator......You might be thinking how we managed to get a copy of the new MI film.....But I am assured it’s all legal....All it took was a phone call from Halo to Tom Cruise.....Who said he would only be to pleased to help his good friend out .....Especially as it was for such a beautiful girl.....All we need to do now is a photo to mark such a milestone of Misty and to say once again .......Have a very Happy Birthday Princess.....And we are here to make sure that happens......At which point Misty eyes fall onto to her first born daughter, Middy.....And as I watch her.....She is not only Misty by name But Misty eyes as well....... As she says to Middy ...Seeing you here makes made my day so complete!!!!!!!!!!!....

Having just felt a few drops of rain blowing in the wind, Di and I share a joke by asking the CraZy Gang that maybe next time that they will take our advise and bring rain coats when we tell them too.....But as you can see.......Jazz (Far right) is making hard for me to say no to sharing my umbrella with her with that look she is giving me.....As for Halo (3rd from left) He is busy reassuring Middy that we are bluffing because as he rightly points out that Di still has her dark glasses on....As for Maysie & Molly .....(Miss you so much beautiful Girl) ......They are of mind set that come what may....They are just happy to feel the humane touch.....And although Misty is out of shot in this photo....Don’t worry dear reader, as she is resting easy in her special place, deep in our hearts.....

The decorations are all up.....Food and drink is all stashed away.....Wrapping is a done deal.. ..And you have to say with that cross paw look, that Halo has that look that says, he feels it is a job well done.........Whereas Little Miss Millie still has a question or two to put too the ever patience Maysie May......Like....... Who puts the whiskey and mince pie under the Christmas tree for Santa...And have they been told to make it a treble.....And have we got enough carrots in for six reindeers ......And can we be sure that Santa knows where we live........And can we be sure that our chimney is big enough for Santa to get down.....Leaving Maysie to put on her most reassured voice to calm Millie down by telling her that things have always worked for Santa in the past and it will always work in the future.....But I am not too sure that a treble whiskey is such a good thing...With Duffy the bear saying hear hear!!!!!!.....Leaving me to butt in and say that I am sure Santa would be more than happy with a treble.....What do you think dear reader

This is a picture for anyone with a broken heart.

This is a picture for anyone who can't get out of bed.

I'll do anything to be happy.

Oh, 'cause blue skies are coming.

But I know that it's hard.

This is the last picture that I take while still in love with you.

This is the last picture that I write about while you're even on my mind.

'cause it's time to leave those feelings behind.

Oh, 'cause blue skies are coming.

But I know that it's hard.

I don't think that it's the end.

But I know I can't keep going.

I don't think that it's the end.

But I hope that I can keep going.

But blue skies are coming.

Oh yeah, blue skies are coming.

Please let it be, that blue skies are coming.

But for now, I just wonder when that will be.

Strolling the Estuary walkway of the Courtenay River, this charming girl was walking toward me. She stopped and looked me in the eye long enough for this portrait. Gorgeous eyes and beautiful tri-colour pattern - so appealing.

This is Portland Bill Lighthouse and during its lifetime of 111 years, it has guided many a ship a safe passage to home harbours……But today the visibility is as clear as clear, giving Millie Halo and Duffy the Bear the idea of sending a message to America using the lighthouse light…..So they have sent Maysie Jazz and Middy up to the top of the lighthouse to flash the bright light into the heartlands of the USA…..while they wait down below on the rocks. scanning into the far away horizon for a reply…..Don’t ask me what the message they sent said….Because I don’t understand Morse code like they do…..But knowing the CraZyGang like I do…..I lay money that it was very special and personal message to our dear Stateside reader

Today you catch me still in bed…….Deep in my smug mode……Secure in the knowledge…….That before I ventured up the wooden hills last night…..I found a safe and secure place to hide my new and expensive trainers from the puppies…..Bliss……No shoe laces with chewed end, and tattoo tooth marks on prized trainers ……That is just not my style…..And just for good measure, I hid my train set with the trainers as well……. Yes I realise that are hardly likely to damage my Thomas the tank train set…..But I felt the need to show them who is boss around here……Aw come on……Don’t give that disapproval look of yours…….I know that a lot of you think the Sheltie is a very smart dog…….And on that we agree…..…But they would have to get up very early in the day to outsmart me, don’t you think ……But if makes you feel better…….You can go and find the puppies whilst I get some more zzzzzzzzzz in……And you can tell them from me…..Sorry guys…..But this time you have met your match…… .

Don’t you just love it, when even the best laid plans fall apart….. .And take a look at Betty and Nico…..Both with a lace each in their mouths….(How an earth can you plan that for a photo….Sigh)…...With a look that says……Who a loser then…..(You don’t need to answer that one reader)…….And I bet Disney is doing much the same…..Although you have to wonder just what Batman is doing with his leg high in the air in front of Disney face…. .

Breakfast was a noise affair this morning for all except Halo.....Itâs a Saturday...The start of the weekend.....and we all had our own idea of what we would like to do today....Except Halo, who seemed quite content in his own world as the battle for supremacy raged around him.....You know the sort of thing......I want to do this and I want to do that......And all getting louder in order to get their point across......And absolutely, no one in harmony.....And just when i thought things were not going to get better any time soon....Halo suddenly came to life by jumping to the middle of the breakfast table and startling us all to silence .....And as he slowly looked around to each and every one of us to make sure we were all paying him our full attention.......Satisfied that this was so.....He told us that he and Midnight had watched the classic Weston movie Shane last night which was shot largely in and around Jackson, Wyoming......Leaving him with a hunger to visit this beautiful state where the air was clear, the water clean......Far from the madding crowd......with views of a dream come true.....I knew better than to ask him just how an earth he was going to pull this stunt off...... But as I watched the breakfast table and dining room slowly disappearing into a haze......To be replaced by a place called Crowheart Willow Creek Wyoming, where the air was clear and the water clean...Not a sole in sight.....and the view was indeed beautiful.....Leaving us all thinking......~Nice call Halo~......And thank goodness I remember to grab my camera before we all left home

Ha.......Well done.....Because you are just in time to see our master chef showing off his freshly made Christmas cake.......And as you can see.... Our very proud Halo.....Insisted on making a very big cake.....So that it could be shared all around on Christmas day ....So if you are interested in tasting Halo baking skills on Christmas day.......On a strictly first come first served basis..... Please leave your name below......Oh.....And one other thing....We have Snow... Lots of it......And the Shelties love it xxx

Yes we might look a bit spellbound…. But don’t believe the rumours that is doing the rounds that we are surprised as you, that we are not chasing the squirrels up the tree…Because the truth of the matter is we were really hoping that you would turn up, to join us for our Autumn walk today dear reader….And look…. here you are…. Hence, the surprise look…. So, without further ado, lets track on shall we.

If I told that out of all the photos I have taken of the CraZy Gang .......That this is the most special one of them all.....Why......Because this is probably the last photo that you will see them all together again.....~Sigh~......And yes.....The further I get to writing this.....The harder it is getting.....Not least because the tears keep blinding my vision.....But what do you do when you are told that Midnight (Centre) has only a couple of days to live at most......As she has cancer attacking her kidneys and bladder and more......And although we love your prayers.....I am sorry....There is no hope for her........Oh God.....I did say that this would be hard......But really.....Did it really have to be such a uphill struggle......But to be fair....It was never going to be easy was it......We have just collected from the Vets where she has been on a drip feed to try and build her up.......Up to then, we thought we was going to lose her today......But Middy being Middy....Put up a show of defiance......With a look as if to say.....Oh dear Lord ....Give me this weekend So that you and Di can take me to some of favourite places ....With a picnic spread maybe.....Some beautiful weather.....And the rest of the gang....So that we can all spend some real quality time together on this final weekend ......Leaving me to say.....Yes Middy ......We love to do that for you......We wish we could do so much more.....~Oh how we wish~....But for now.....At least we still have you for now....xxxxxx
