Shells are 5/8" wide, made from decorative buttons, painted Americana Raw Sienna, Anita's Dusty Peach & Americana Sand.
Lots of shells up here. There were a lot of "no shooting" signs on the road, too -- this is a popular activity in this area, but I didn't hear any shots fired.
Snails in sunny environments generally have lighter coloration on their shells (right one). I think if put in a dark environment their shell may darken. Stay tuned.
I found this shell while walking on St. Thomas, USVI right before I slipped into the edge of the water and poked my foot on a sea urchin. It hurt so bad I thought I would see a giant pool of blood in the water. At first I thought I cut my foot but it also felt like I was getting stung by bees at the same time. Anyway I stopped and looked at my foot and saw five dots and then I looked in the water and figured it out.

During the summer two men (Solas Art) made a mandala on Shop Street in Galway, out of coloured shells and small circular pieces of wood. It was lovely.
