The process of collecting the data of the light was through photography:
I took a photo of the sky at regular time intervals for an hour (each minute or every 15 seconds, depending on the exposure time and the memory limitations of the camera I am shooting with), beginning with the actual time when the sun is on the horizon. The placement of the camera, the frame scene and exposure time were identical for the entire hour. Because of camera settings, the taken photographs are reduced into an abstract clean surface of colour.
That process makes use of the multi-coloured state of the sunset in order to define a site-specific colour scale, referencing established standardised color systems such as Pantone or Munsell. This is a contact sheet showing all the photographs taken during the first tests.

I love my sheets. They are old and from balkan. In brocade. Especially nice they are in the light in my room.
Digging through some old contact sheet scans is making me a bit nostalgic. I need to go through some of my old negs and make some new scans/prints.
