A contact sheet of all 36 photos taken with a Vivitar "Ultra Wide and Slim" camera, this cheap simple camera has developed something of a cult following, it has a 22mm lens and a fixed shutter speed.
This is "DubbleFilm Stereo" novelty film, bought on a whim at the Photographer's Gallery in London. According to the manufacturer "Stereo covers the first half of your film in intense red tint, the second half in intense blue tint. Results will vary depending on shooting conditions but expect something truly surprising every time." Processed in the Tetenal C41 kit.
I decided to shoot the whole film on a week's holiday in Porto. The film is bookended by photos of or from the plane, starting at the top right and finishing at the bottom left.
New self-assessment sheet for grade 8 Language Arts. I use it to help students assess their own progress in the context of their own research projects that they document using blogs.

I wasn't sure how I'd like this quilt. I had picked up a great quality 100% cotton cream printed sheet at Goodwill, and it didn't match most of my other sheet fabrics. I decided to go with three different solids, all of them as HST blocks with the cream print. I laid them out in a star pattern using 4x4 blocks in each. Once completed, I decided I liked it after all!
lines on a sailboat that pull the sails from side to side are called sheets (the ones that pull them up & down are halyards), and this is the cascade of the main sheet, extending from the traveler to the back end of the boom...
My newest vintage sheet and I LOVE the pattern!!! I want to make so many things with this but then again, I don't want to cut into it:)
Sheet music composed by William Corbett, one of my ancesters (a greatgreatgrandfather, I think). The artistic gene from this side of the family disappeared in my generation.
Found among my father's papers.
A long weekend will bring lots of playing- and hopefully a lot of getting through the beginning of this song on my list of lifetime dreams: Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson. Insane. Utterly insane.
On a side note this Tascam trainer is invaluable in slowing down and playing along with songs with impossibly fast parts with a song like this. Eric Johnson is a true virtuoso.

Even though I am not a huge fan of McDonald's as an adult, I sure have plenty of happy memories of playing with my McDonald's playskool restaurant (and Holiday Inn) when I was little. Oh. And eating there, too.
The Cotton Bed Sheets offered by us are comfortable, very relaxing and feels good against the skin with their soft texture. Very imaginatively created with appealing designs the bed sheets range is reasonably priced.
Cleaning out my garage - Vintage sheet music I've been saving as inspiration for a photograph or painting of my oldest daughter.
Made from a thrifted sheet and some free bias tape!! A simple A line with elastic waistband. AND...is it really lazy to just use the already finished edge of the sheet as the bottom of your skirt? Well, I would be lazy then!! I made up for it though by putting the bias tape on RIGHT?!

Graeme Butler - 1992 survey images from Macedon Ranges cultural heritage and landscape study 1994:.
The contract to erect this bridge was fought for and lost by John Monash, the loss producing a number of angry letters from Monash on what he regarded as the inferior and costly construction opted for by the two shires concerned, rather than his moderately priced and `absolutely permanent' reinforced concrete model{ Melbourne University Archives Monier collection #589}. He cited the success of his design (Doggett's Bridge, demolished) for the Romsey Shire which had withstood the disastrous 1906 floods. A minor controversy arose when the Romsey Shire's consulting engineer, Herbert Crowther BA MCE, called for tenders to erect two large road bridges, one at Daly's crossing and another at Donovan's crossing, in October 1906. New prices were required when Crowther extended the length of each bridge but the decision on whose price was chosen was left to a conference between the Romsey and Springfield Shires in November 1906. Some councillors favoured timber, although its supply in the area had been somewhat reduced, but most favoured steel or concrete. Choosing between the Reinforced Concrete & Monier Pipe Construction Co. P/L concrete bridges and the Ballarat firm, Jenkins Brothers steel versions, the councillors ignored the 400 pounds price difference in favour of concrete and went for steel. Monash wrote letters to C Catani at the Public Works Department, the secretary to the minister and the newspaper, noting that the chosen design was `flimsy' and `unsafe' but to no avail. The bridge was portrayed in early postcards{ R&LDHS postcard}.
