I meet up with my good friend Phil Martin at Bayston Hill to photograpth this class 66 on an engineering train heading a rake of 24 empty JNA's past Sharpstone Quarry on route to Taunton. It originally departed Crewe 25 mins late but the scheduled 'recessed' stop on Crewe Bank was cancelled. resulting in it now running to time
Heading south out of Shrewsbury with the Diamond Jubilee train. Total surprise - I had no idea it was due.

At last after nearly a week of dreary weather the sun finally comes out and the class 66 heads a reasonable length train past Sharpstones Quarry on route back to south wales
