in this time of the covid 19 pandemic are you worried? why not? i am.
mixed media on wood: acrylic paint, metallic paint, sharpie pens, collaged paper, stamps
18" X 12"
MEANING OF THE PAINTING:
in this time of the covid 19 pandemic there is so much to be worried, frightened, concerned, angry, scared, etc., about......the millions infected, all the deaths, the economy, the children who are our future, or elders who embody the history of our past, the people who are desparate for food, and on and on......
some people ( and government leaders) are so cavalier....they act as if this is a hoax, don't follow scientists guidlines, do whatever they want.
this pandemic will never end unless we all do our part......
are you worried? why not? i am!

in this time of the covid 19 pandemic we are all chained together.
this is a global crisis.
we all must get vaccinated inorder to break the chain of this virus.
if the entire world does not get the vaccine and be vaccinated.....this pandemic will not end.
people of the world.....help each other...share the vaccine.....educate the frightened of the vaccine.....help return us to our lives again.
the fate of the world is in our hands.
do what is necessary before you get a vaccine......wear a mask....don't congregate.

MEANING OF THIS PAINTING:
the state of the union in the age of the global covid 19 pandemic is sorely lacking direction . our union needed to be prepared to act swiftly, but aside from a few other countries, this was not so. it is said "we are all in this together", but alas, this is not how many in our union are acting. if we do not act together we will have no union left when we reach the other side.

inspired by my trip to mexico city and san miguel de allende october-november 2017
this holiday focuses on gatherings of family and friends to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died, and help support their spiritual journey.
traditions connected with the holiday include building private altars, honoring the deceased using marigolds, and the favorite foods and beverages of the departed, and visiting graves with these as gifts. family and friends also leave possessions of the deceased at the graves.

I love pens. One could say I am a pen hoarder. I inherited that from my mother. She loved pens and heaven help you if you used her fountain pen. I still use a fountain pen. She gave me my waterman pen went I was Commissioned in the CAF as we always signed everything with a fountain pen.
I appreciate each and every visit, comment and fave here on my little corner of the world as seen through my lens.
