More effective than the unpopular 'Congestion Charge' and now here to stay! The London Assembly has just voted for this to happen TWICE per day to keep traffic jams at bay.
Coconuts kill more people than sharks do, so why isn't there ever a hard hitting "Coconuts on Trial" documentary about the chilling increase in coconut attacks?

In 1924 the concrete Promenade was constructed at Balmoral and the Bathers’ Pavilion was commissioned to be built by Mosman Council. The council’s architect and building surveyor, Alfred Hale, designed the building, and Alderman Harry Carter laid the foundation stone on 21 August 1928. The design was certainly more seductive in its external shell, with its distinct and intriguing Moorish feel and intricate features such as the many delicate fretwork windows, which had to provide privacy and a great amount of ventilation. Alfred Hale’s design made for a stunning and imposing visual adornment to the beach with what was essentially a large changing shed. The Pavilion was officially opened on February 20 1929.
The Bathers’ Pavilion was set over two stories, catering for men, women and for boys. It had living quarters for the caretaker, and an ambulance and attendant’s room. The north side of the building was used for the women and the south side for the men. From day one the building was leased to a private operator, as resolved by Mosman Council. Woollen bathing costumes, caps, towels and trunks were made available for a fee, as well as lockers, change room cubicles where one could disrobe in privacy. The building was advertised as possessing the latest sanitary conveniences. The boys’ area was later subleased and used for the sale of refreshments, causing a big controversy at the time.
My Story - The last fatal shark attack
In the background is Wyargine Point - the site of great terror for me as an 11 year old just finished primary school at Mosman Primary School. The sixer of the yellows in my cub pack (1st Balmoral Cubs) had just left to go up to Scouts when we heard he had been taken by a shark off Wyargine Point. The newspapers of the day made quite a story of this horrific event.
BOY KILLED BY SHARK AT BALMORAL BAY
The Canberra Times (ACT : 1926 - 1995) Tuesday 18 January 1955
SYDNEY, Monday.[17th January 1955]
Two parents watched horrified while their 14-year-old son was mauled to death by a 12ft. shark off Balmoral Beach to-day [Sunday 16th January 1955]. It was the first shark tragedy in Sydney Harbour since 1942 and the first ever at Balmoral.
The dead boy was John Willis, of Burran Avenue, Balmoral. Willis was spearfishing about 20 yards off rocks at the end of Balmoral Beach when he was attacked by the shark. Eyewitness said he screamed suddenly, threw up his arms, and yelled "Shark, shark, help." Willis thrashed madly and then a gush of blood stained the water around him.
Rescuers raced into the water and dragged him to the shore. The shark had torn the lower portions of both of his legs to ribbons and badly lacerated his hand. He died before aid could be given to him. The shark is believed to have been one of three seen swimming off the beach earlier in the day. It broke water only a few feet from the rocks in shallow water while its victim bled to death.
The dead boy's parents ran to the rocks to give assistance to the victim of the shark attack, not knowing it was their own son. Mrs. Willis screamed, "John, it's my son," when she saw the body lying on the rocks.
Witnesses said the dying boy swam desperately towards the rocks after the attack. He collapsed as soon as rescuers reached him. Fishermen baited hooks and trolled off the beach all the afternoon in an attempt to catch the shark, a huge blue pointer.
A Royal Australian Navy crashboat from Balmoral depot joined the fishermen in their hunt. Eye-witness T. P. Walsh, another spear-fisherman, said he had taken his gear off and was walking up the hill near the water when he heard Willis' screams. He said that Dr. Huntly called to him and together they went to the rocks at the water's edge where rescuers had dragged the boy. "The boy had been terribly mauled," he said. Dr. Huntly examined him and said he was dead.
The shark circled in the water off the point with its fin and tail showing above the surface for some time after the attack, said Walsh. Another eyewitness, Mrs. M. C. Considine, of Balmoral, said the boy was swimming in about 7ft. of muddy water when the shark attacked him. The shark appeared to drag him about while it savaged him, she said. "When he was dragged on to the rocks, all the blood seemed to have been drained from his body," she said.
About 15 other people were swimming outside the shark-proof net of the swimming pool at Balmoral. Willis was given his spearfishing equipment as a Christmas present. Friends said he was desperately keen to become a first-class spearfisherman.
His father, Mr. Sid. Willis, is licensee of a large city hotel.
The last shark attack near Sydney was in February 1954 when Reginald Fabrizius, 23, of Stanmore, was mauled at The Entrance (Tuggerah). A lifesaver received abrasions to his legs and arms when a shark attacked him at Maroubra beach on December 22, 1953.
Brett Holden/Capt Ahab and his ability to find and catch fish have propelled him to be a top player in the sport-fishing world. With his finely honed crew and a battleship called the Booby Trap, he has become an unstoppable fishing machine. His desire for excellence has led the Booby Trap to become the top private boat in the Houston Big Game Fishing Club for 5 consecutive years! Capt Ahab is a pioneer and has become the most recognized sword fisherman in the Gulf of Mexico (read about it in the June 2011 issue of Sportfishing Magazine) catching a record 8 daytime swords in one day and has logged over 500 swordfish to date. Capt Ahab was also was behind the helm of the Booby Trap for the first ever recorded Super Grand Slam in the Gulf of Mexico, catching 2 Blue Marlin, 2 Swordfish, 2 Sailfish and a white marlin in a single day. When he fires the Booby Trap up he no longer sees her as a vessel but as a weapon, 40 knots in forward and 10 knots in reverse, he fears no seas only the fuel bill…
The state of Aaron's legs the next morning. As you can see he's still wearing his board shorts from his day at the beach, and that red stuff on the foot of his right leg is his dried blood!
The tube coming out of his left leg is the tube from the wound vac.

One of the very few designs of mine made from the basic form. It is part of much larger wall hanging that includes my great white shark and surfer. I designed this the day after I got surgery on my shoulder.

A bottle of Shark Attack Double Red Ale from Port Brewing in San Marcos, California, at Schouskjelleren in Oslo.
Port Brewing Shark Attack is a 9% abv imperial red ale brewed with medium crystal malts, centennial and cascade hops. It poured a reddish amber color with a large, frothy beige head. The aroma was rich in hops, with tropical fruits and fresh pine cones, balanced with some caramel sweetness. Nice. The mouthfeel was full bodied with a sharp, fizzy carbonation, almost like in mineral water. The flavor started out with caramel and a ripe fruit sweetness, before the hops kicked in with grapefruit, citrus and pine notes. There was also a good roasted bitterness character that lingered with the bitter hops in the long aftertaste (more than a minute!).
Shark Attack is a big, hoppy red ale - rich in aroma and taste. A bit in your face, perhaps, but still a very good beer (though no match for Mongo).
