Jacob Fowler, a volunteer from the University of Mobile in Mobile, Ala., contributes to a Bible study in the Filipino village of Hinolaso. Fowler and his four teammates are living among the people in Hinolaso for five days to become part of the community and to share their faith with residents.
hanging around rome all alone is one of my favourite passions. i do love getting lost and discovering every time different, amazing, wonderful things, places and people...every time is a brand new feeling!

Each year, DDB Canada's offices showcases their culture of creativity by hosting Share DDB, a unique fundraising event where staff members contribute items to the silent auction. Items range from photography, paintings and handmade jewelry to rock-climbing lessons, sailing adventures, catered gourmet dinners and more. Anything that can be imagined (and made) can be submitted for staff, their significant others, clients, suppliers and invited guests to bid on.
The proceeds are split between two deserving charities selected by staff. Share DDB 2012 in Vancouver raised $18,100 for two very deserving charities, the James Lee Foundation and Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.

A few more shots from my SF trip.
Ok this is what happened: I was just testing my 70-200 F/2.8 with a 2x teleconverter out in the open in the middle of the aquarium trying to shoot some birds. It was a foggy day and there wasn't much sunlight.
Nonetheless I spotted an otter emerging in the ocean with a crab in its hands! This is the furthest I could zoom in. Then, another otter came over, and asked for a piece... then he just cracked the crab open and split the crab and gave the other otter half of it. And this is the shot that shows them hovering in water enjoying some fresh Monterey Bay crab. :)
These guys sure know how to enjoy life...
The buddleia is thick with butterflies and other insects at this time of year. I took about 20 photos of them this afternoon, and almost all of them were slightly out of focus. Grrrr. I shall try again tomorrow if the sun is shining.

The proceeds from Share DDB 2011 in Edmonton went to the Hope Mission with a total of $3,740 raised.
You can tell she's the second child, because Matthew didn't have ice cream at all before he turned one! :)
