Gen. Edward Daly, Commanding General, U.S. Army Materiel Command and his team from Huntsville, along with Maj. Gen. Robert Edmonson and his team from CECOM touched down at Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) on Feb. 10 for a review of organic industrial base modernization efforts.

 

Led by TYAD Commander, Col. Daniel Horn and depot leadership, the visiting command teams were given a comprehensive overview and tour of Team Tobyhanna's emerging microelectronics mission, and discussed future DoD strategies to keep America's warfighters equipped.

Youth For Change was an event for youth, by youth to help take action on girls' rights. It was a one-day conference that took place on Saturday 19th July 2014, at the headquarters of the Department For International Development in London.

Another aspect of the Shape the Future activities involved holding debates with students of Development Studies at Iqra University, SZABIST and Bahria University in Islamabad. These debates engaged Pakistan’s youth on a range of post-2015 development issues ranging from education, health, gender and environmental sustainability. A report based on these discussions was represented to UNDP Country Director Marc-Andre Franche.
