Requirement 2: 2-D shape as the primary element

From the photo you can clearly see the shape of a bird. The photo of a heron was taken against bright skies. I used aperture-priority mode with aperture of f/5.6, ISO 100 and exposure compensation of +2/3 in order to create the silhouette and remove distracting details.

In post production, I decreased highlights and increased contrast to intensify the shape.
