3 pages from the expressive drawing class I attended.
I feel in love with sketching with a china marker (waxy pencil used in printmaking)
Last time I hopped into this role (2002) I was threatened with 'divorce'......which eventuated some months later..........

Took a roadtrip to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. Absolutely beautiful there. I'm the shadow in the right corner.
A couple of smiling shadows (myself and my father) in conversation, to finish off the year.
It's been much fun, fellow December Diarists (and it's also been exhausting).
Thanks for all of your great images and visits. May you have a productive year ahead, filled with shadows and laughter, and may we all be able to meet again next December for another go of it.

I fight with myself daily, weekly, so boringly forever, with what I am worth. I am waiting for spring to bring me round the bend, and it will. But next year I will fight again. I am beginning to realize it's just the nature of the beast, and has it's gifts. Not so bad really. A time for inner work, which though difficult, is so necessary.
On another note...
400 ISO, late afternoon with proper manual settings... I get NOISE! Nikon please gift me with a D700. I promise I will use it well. Still I'm glad I got what I got :-)

Remains of Lesnes Abbey in Bexley, Kent. I’ve been meaning to shot here for some time now and finally went there on one morning before sunrise. The advantage of longer nights means more time to do things not staying up till late and getting up too early;)
Above the roof of the Salt Lake City public library with a web of shadows and reflections below (and, yes, that's me in the upper right corner).
