The Norfolk Botanical Gardens incorporates numerous benches throughout. All of them are strategically placed to utilize the shades of beautiful trees, much to the appreciation of the summer-hot patrons.

Back to Hurcott Pool & Nature Reserved and i am still on the path that follows the pool (behind the trees right of shot). The two very kind locals in shot helped me find my way out of the woods when i met them later on in my walk.........Hurcott Pool & Nature Reserve,Hurcott,nr Kidderminster,Worcestershire,England

We are having a bit of a heat wave here, just observing, not complaining!

Came across this in my files, a stop we made on the road to Hana on Maui. A refreshing break!

This mule deer buck, with a velvet rack, in the shade at Rocky Mountain Arsenal- National Wildlife Refuge, is enjoying the shade of a cottonwood tree. I drove up and stopped, as he seemed a bit confused. I was happy that he got comfortable and laid down for me to take his picture.

His rack is off to a promising start.

Taken in Swan Valley, Perth, Western Australia.

Early one morning, trying to beat the heat, I meandered around this lake...So peaceful and quiet...Wasn't long before I sought the shelter of a shadetree, and this little dock...Was watching the ground for snakes as I reached the dock-just enjoying the view-when I realised I was NOT alone! Peered over my shoulder, and there was this Grey Heron, on the rail...He looked twice as tall as me up there! Odd, but as long as I looked out over the water, he was willing to share the space...I quickly got off a few shots and he wasn't thrilled at the attention so off he flew into a tall pine...I'm just glad it wasn't a bear!!!

Still, it would have been lovely to share more time with him...

We went here for an hour Tuesday while a Real Estate Company was showing our home to a prospective buyer. The day was perfect. Great temperature, humidity and a wonderful breeze. Today it is overcast and later we will be affected by Hurricane Matthew. with just rain, I suppose. We have family in Florida, one who are one block from the ocean. I am concerned for them and the others live in Jacksonville FL that is close to the ocean.

Spain. This shot taken from a speeding Renfe train between Madrid and Segovia. There are some sheep and cattle near the far end of the field.

Might have been in Brachfield or close to it on FM 1798. Couldn't believe someone left their diesel rig out there.

In addition to the white fence, I love the wrap-around porch. Bertrand Township, Berrien County, Michigan. HFF!

Processed a little artsy

After the herd drank our stock tank dry, they scattered about our meadow to graze. These four made their way to a different part of our yard, under a nice shade tree. Keeping my distance but taking lots of pics, I felt like paparazzi.
