The other day while I was at St Francis I caught this snap of Sylvester destroying the mouse that was on the scratch-post out in the Lions Den. They love to be out in our outside area when the weather is nice. It was good to see Sylvester playing on the scratch-post, I must now add replacing that toy mouse on the list of jobs to do

I am really pleased to say that following our Amazon wish list going live last week we have already received no end of cat goodies. We have received toys, food, cat treats, a drink fountain, a mop & bucket, lots of kitchen rolls, cat carriers and some electric fly killers and a scratch-post

So to all of our followers and supporters who have purchased these, thank you, they are all very much appreciated

An American university is doing horrible, cruel, unthinkable experiments on cats and I was hoping that maybe you could encourage some of your American followers to go to change.org and sign the petition to stop their testing. What they've done to those poor innocent animals is cruel in every sense of the word. So if you could please pass this along I'd be so grateful. As a registered charity we have to be careful about what we post. It is horrible when you hear of such cruelty like this. The trouble is that we don't want to set a trend doing these posts. We have been asked to do this in the past but it is hard to choose which to post about. If we don't share some but then do others it can become difficult. I hope you understand and I am truly appalled at any sort of cruelty to any animal .

I think they are telling me that they want some of the whiskas biscuits which have just kindly been donated to us by Sophie and her Mum. Sophie is the lady who is doing a skydive in September to help raise money for sfhfc.

Sly Sylvester can be a cheeky cat is well known for sneaking into the kitchen area when we are dishing up the residents food. So it was nice to capture this shot of him just chilling in one of the fluffy cat beds which we have at St Francis.
