This week Sophie came to visit our residents at St Francis. Sophie is doing a skydive on 1st September to help raise funds for sfhfc. We were so thrilled when she got in touch with us. Sophie has always been a cat lover having grown up with cats and told us that she had chosen our charity to help as we are a small local cat charity.

While Sophie was at St Francis she got to meet all of the residents which she will be helping. Once she sat down Joy was first on her knee to enjoy some fuss while Francis sat beside her enjoying some fuss. Shy-Annie was another residents who was quick to get up on the sofa for some love but on this occasion she didn't fancy sticking around for a photo.

At the moment Sophie is just over half way to reaching her target of £250. Please help her to reach her target by donating any amount which you can.

Alternatively, if you are a bit of a daredevil like Sophie, or if there is another activity which you would like to do to raise money for our charity then you can always use the Charity Giving website. There you can have your own dedicated fund raising page and choose our charity to donate to.

Joy does make me smile. She will get right on the edge of a scratch-post when you are walking by and will then often raise a paw as well as make a very loud meeeeeeooooow noise in order to get your attention so that you stop and give her some fuss.......and yes, once all of the daily chores are done, it always works.

I like this photo of Bob sat on the arm of the sofa with Joy next to him enjoying the comfort of the new fleece kitten throw which was kindly donated to St Francis a long with many toys and cat food. Bob is still adjusting to being the new boy but at the moment is starting to settle in well .

'Through My Eyes' shows Joy on my knee with Francis in the background waiting his turn. You can just make out Zak's ear as well as he has gently squeezed himself on my knee next to Joy. All the cats have been good today. They have enjoyed some extra fuss from a couple of our volunteers on a day when I must thank Chris and Mark for helping out so much with some of the clearing out which we have been doing. I also want to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all of our volunteers who help us to run this wonderful charity and who care and love our residents the way that we do .

I took quite a few photo's of Joy the other night. The middle pic shows Joy when she was happy to pose for me while in the other two pics she had decided enough was enough and tried to get the camera off me . After this I did sit down so she could have a cuddle on my knee .
