We have times where we have to isolate Jiminy in The Garden Room and we also now have times where we remove all food so that he can still mingle with his mates. Here is the unedited picture of Jiminy which I posted the other day in black and white and showing him just peering up from the bottom of the picture.

I used snapseed to alter the contrast & brightness & also used one of the b&w filters in snapseed. Then I used juxtaposer to layer it over a white background to give the finished effect. Thank you to each of you who like and comment on our photo's. I do tell our residents how well loved they are from all around the world. It's just very difficult to always separate at meal times, plus we always need to have biscuits down all of the time as we have a couple of thyroid cats and underweight cats. Little and Large.........although in reality it's large and large as Houdini is actually a similar size to Jiminy, it's just the angle of the shot has made it look deceptive. Jiminy is thankfully maintaining his weight loss at the moment and his fur is looking good after having treatment for his skin condition .

This is lovely Jiminy enjoying some fuss off me the other night. Jiminy didn't used to be much of a lap cat but more recently has taken to jumping up on your knee to enjoy having fuss. I think this has altered since the other month when he had to have a few nights stay over at the vets. his weight is going down but only very gradually so the diet continues.

Here are Houdini and Jiminy, two of our heavy weights at St Francis. It was good to see them enjoying a bit of exercise on the cat climber in our outside area. This is something I think they need to do a bit more of.

Our volunteers do also encourage them to play with many of the cat toys which they have, and I am told that Houdini is very keen on the laser mice which have been kindly bought for us off our Amazon wish list .

Jiminy is still on his diet. It has been a good few weeks now and thankfully he is still losing a bit of weight although it has slowed down a bit now. Jiminy still enjoys his fuss and last night settled down on my knee. They do sometimes make it hard for us humans to get on with the daily chores .
