This weeks 'through my eyes' we have cheeky Sylvester and Bob helping me with the evening feed. I think they are telling me that they want some of the whiskas biscuits which have just kindly been donated to us by Sophie and her Mum. Sophie is the lady who is doing a skydive in September to help raise money for sfhfc.

A week on and I am pleased to tell you that Bob (no tail) is doing well, I am hear at St Francis and he is enjoying lots of fuss, he loves to nuzzle up to you. He is eating well and as you can see his lampshade is now off. He is such a handsome and affectionate cat. Now that he has got over having his tail amputated the next phase is to integrate him in to the main area with all the other residents. We will do this over the next few weeks. Let's hope he will learn to get on with the other residents as well as he gets on with us humans.

I like this photo of Bob sat on the arm of the sofa with Joy next to him enjoying the comfort of the new fleece kitten throw which was kindly donated to St Francis a long with many toys and cat food. Bob is still adjusting to being the new boy but at the moment is starting to settle in well .

Here is Bob (no tail) and Ace like two bookends on top of the fireplace. You can just make out Bob's tail, he had to have it amputated just before he came to St Francis as it had been badly injured . He is doing well now and week by week he is becoming more settled with his house mates . You can also just make out the reflection of Rocky's picture in the mirror .

Is three a crowd, not at St Francis. Here Bob, Ace and Libby are on the big new scratch-post which the residents had for Christmas. This. now takes pride of place in front of the main room window, so in the daytime the residents can often be seen keeping an eye on what's going on outside .

Bob has been sniffing around one of the stockings that has been put up for our lovely kitties. He's glad that there is now only one more sleep until he is allowed to have a look at what they have got .

We have now integrated Bob into the main area with all the other residents. I am pleased to say that as you can see he is eating well and has started to settle down. It is still early days for him, you can sometimes hear hissing when the others get too close but so far we are happy with everything. I am also pleased to say that the remainder of his tail looks to be healing well after needing to have his tail amputated.

This is Bob enjoying his new foster home and it has a room with a view which Bob really likes as he has always enjoyed looking out of the windows. We are still hopeful that we will be able to find Bob a forever home, so keep those paws crossed. Bob is an FIV+ cat so does need to be kept as an indoor cat. We have more information about FIV and adopting FIV cats on our website ( www.sfhfc.org.uk ).

This is our newest resident Bob. He came in to St Francis at the end of 2011. He is still a bit unsettled but he does love to sit in the window. It's his favourite spot.
