I dropped in on the Rengstorff House (circa 1867) the other day. The morning light was perfect.

Happy Fence Friday everyone.

It's not too hard to find your way to the Bay--just follow the fence line and watch out for ticks in that tall grass.

Golden Gate and Bay Bridge on morning haze last Sunday

Sunrise as viewed along the San Francisco Embarcadero, the SF-Oakland Bay Bridge looming in the distance. The morning marine layer letting just enough sunlight through to cast the bay in a beautiful gray metallic hue.

...IT'S ABOUT BEING WITH SOMEONE YOU LOVE ...

Thank you all so much for stopping by and for the kind comments and favs. They are very much appreciated!

A trio of mule deer graze the hillsides above Redwood City. Behind them, rising to the clouds are the Santa Cruz Mountains. Beyond the mountains lies the ocean. The land as far as the eye can see, lies within a nature preserve where wildlife and plant life are protected.

The deer here are used to viewing humans as nonthreatening and do not scatter at the sight of them. Where I live in the Sierra Nevada Range, hunting is allowed during specific seasons. The deer are wary of people and quickly disperse at the mere sound of them. This is truly a tale of two different environments.
