Since I've been stuck inside a lot lately, overstressed from virus paranoia, and now, literally prevented from going to my day job, I've been messing around using graphics editing software to make better graphics for my Etsy shop.

I've been using a combination of GIMP and Autodesk Sketchbook to make interesting and attractive thumbnail photos for things for sale in my shop.

It's quite relaxing and I'm quickly becoming more adept at using the software.

Very loose-fitting tunic has tuck details, large collar, full length sleeves with plackets and cuffs. Fitted, below waistline pants has front side slant pockets, back patch pockets, fly zipper closing, back yoke, waistband, carriers and topstitch trim.

FABRICS: Tunic: Cotton shirting and crepe de chine. Pants: Novelty denim and brocade.

[Super skinny in the thigh. Front pocket opening is too low at the sides, like trouser pockets--don't like for a tight jean.]

Pictorial Review Pattern Catalog, July 1928. RARE!!!

Pictorial Review magazine started producing their own sewing patterns around the turn of the century (1900). Simplicity bought Pictorial's pattern business in 1936, and the magazine merged with The Delineator (associated with the Butterick pattern company) in 1937. Delineator magazine folded in 1939.

Pictorial Patterns are rare to find today. If you find one, you can bet it is from before 1936, though some unverified evidence suggests Simplicity continued using the "Pictorial" name in Australia for a time (until 1950s?)

The other side of the tote bag I made. So much fun to just turn it inside out and have a completely different bag! I used this sewing pattern: www.etsy.com/listing/190258109/reversible-tote-bag-sewing...
