A jam session at the Vicarstown pub, where we spent our third night on the canal. The old guy on the fiddle was great.

Second session using remote flashes for action. This time it was puking snow and I learned that bringing ziploc bags for the flashes is probably a good idea for next time.

The focus is not 100% on these shots, but I am still quite satisfied.
ESA hosted the Living Planet Symposium on 13–17 May 2019 in Milan, Italy.
The event brought together scientists and users to present their latest findings on Earth’s environment and climate derived from satellite data. It provided an opportunity to introduce missions in development from ESA – such as the Sentinels, Earth Explorers and meteorological missions – as well as from national space agencies.
It was the world’s biggest conference on Earth observation to date.
Covered scientific themes include oceanography, solid Earth and geodesy, atmosphere, climate and meteorology, the cryosphere, hazards, methodologies and products, near-Earth environment and land applications. Special sessions were dedicated to ESA programmes and initiatives, including the Climate Change Initiative and other international cooperation initiatives, as well as the Copernicus environmental monitoring programme.
The symposium followed the previous ones held in Prague (2016), Edinburgh (2013), Bergen (2010), Montreux (2007) and Salzburg (2004).

Last thursday and most likely the last indoor session. I played around with the external flash a little bit as you can see. These guys/gals are simply amazing. Tried it myself a few times and failed miserably.
Yes, he made it all the way to the top.

Another session at Lee Valley Whitewater Centre. Searching for a touch of red afterwards, I found this safety ring at the top of the Olympic course. It was difficult to find only a touch of red, as kayakers are a colourful breed!
I confess to desaturating the reddish rafters buoyancy aids.

Sen. Dave Hansen, D-Green Bay, is seen during an extraordinary lame-duck session of the Wisconsin Legislature on Dec. 4, 2018, at the State Capitol in Madison, Wis. The Republican-authored bills stripped powers away from Gov.-elect Tony Evers and Attorney General-elect Josh Kaul, both Democrats. They included narrowing the state's window for early voting, giving lawmakers more influence over the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., and barring Evers from halting efforts by the GOP to enact work requirements and requiring drug testing for certain benefit programs.
