[Camera] Nikon D200. 80-200/2.8
[Lighting] Vivitar 285HV reflected out of silver umbrella as key light at 1/4 power triggered wirelessly via GI PT-04 Triggers. Also I used an SB-800 mounted to a trash can with a HD clamp for a fill coming from camera left. That strobe was triggered as a slave at 1/4 +2/3 power, zoomed to 50mm and was diffused.

MEPs approved measures to prevent proceeds from conflict minerals being used to fund armed conflicts and called on governments to break the deadlock on plans to harmonise maternity leave across Europe. They also debated measures to tackle irregular migrants coming to the EU during the plenary in Strasbourg on 18-21 May as well as green-lit tougher rules to prevent money laundering. *10/365 Who doesn't like new toys?
Biking is a passion of mine and it's something I can't live without. Since moving down to Boston for college, I tried something new and sold my mountain bike for a bmx. It has since been a year and there is no question that I miss mountain biking. Whether it's speeding down flowy singletrack, working through a gnarly downhill, or just enjoying a classic XC ride; nothing beats biking in New England during the summer and fall. Sharing a ride with good buddies is one of the most enjoyable experiences I can imagine. Although it's still the middle of winter, I'm itching to get back on the trails. To hold me over I've been riding in the living room :) haha.
For this shot I wanted to use my off-camera flash but because I don't have a sync cable I had to improvise. I shot a 0.5 sec exposure at f/22, iso 100. This allowed me to balance the ambient light with the flash, which I held above camera right and triggered during shutter release. I'm hoping to complete my strobist kit by the end of the week so that I can do some proper lighting setups. Regardless though, I'm pretty happy with how this came out!
