Under åpnet i mars 2019.

4 Racks of servers. Servers are normally assembled in racks, to save space and make it easier to put one on top of the other.
Candid snapshots from SoftLayer's Web 2.0 Expo booth (609).
The star of the show: Our Server Challenge!
Attendees are challenged to rebuild a mini-rack of servers in the fastest time possible.

RIP Odd Job - many of our servers were named from villains from James Bond movies. This one was 'Odd Job' the hat throwing villain.
I finally am building a proper RAID array, complete with hotswap drive cages. It's just Linux software RAID-5, because I really don't care especially much about performance, just about resiliency (I don't actually trust RAID too much these days either, but I figure that it's a nice extra layer of redundancy for backups)
I tried the 5-in-3 (5 1" tall 3.5" drives in 3 5.25" drive bays) version of the AMS SATA backplane, but it wouldn't fit the case without taking a dremel to the case. I decided that it wasn't worth the effort. So I got the 3-in-2 (3 1" tall 3.5" drives in 2 5.25" drive bays) version instead, figuring that whenever I need more drives, I'll just get another 3-in-2 cage.
The added blinkenlichten are great.
