This is the main page of my Newton web server running NPDS displayed on an iPhone. The circular technology references are staggering. Here is a photo showing the same page zoomed out.
One of the scenes in and around Chicago during An Event Apart.
Power strips in our server room. They're pretty cool. You can actually access these remotely (from home) and do whatever you want. Turn them off, turn them on, view statistics, etc. I like how the lights gave off a star shape because of the long exposure.
added the metadata controller and metadata replica and a new filemaker server.
Making plans to remove the other servers and set up another RAID and create another SAN.... with a XtraByte 16G LTO over fibre.
I know it's a bit of a crappy photo, but I like it, and at the end of the day that's all that matters. :-)
Custom designed server racking from our former hosting business. Our own design, created for maximum space usage (paired servers back to back inside a deep rack), low cost and weight (server cases are expensive and bloomin' heavy). Centralised power supplies (one front, one back) putting out 12V to each server for better efficiency. Decent airflow too. We closed the business down towards the end of 2010, and our only real regret about that was having to retire this lovely setup.
Photograph background made from polystyrene sheets taped together, plus desk lamps for a pretty decent mini-studio :)

Take one old server.
Attack with screw driver and hammer late on a Friday afternoon.
The result is a stylish bookshelf. I'm currently in negotiations with Ikea to produce more. ;)
This is my HP MediaSmart server setup.
At this point the MSS has 2x500GB + 2x1TB WD Green drives, and the TR4M-B also has 2x1TB WD Green drives. The WD MyBook is not part of the MSS drive pool for now, but has an extra terabyte of storage available "just in case", lol :)
The Server rack is gettting occupied by DELL components! The fantastic high performance DELL PowerEdge will be installed to enable smooth office operations for rocket scientists ;-)
